• FORD DISC & HQ CAL TO 1948 PLYMOUTH 
  • FITTING FORD DISC BRAKES TO 1948 PLYMOUTH, DESOTO AND 1962 CHRYSLER. 
  • access to either an Oxy / acetelyne welder or blow torch will be required for fitting of bearing and seal adaptors. 
  • Kit contains: 
  • 1 off Bolt Kit 
  • 4 off Caliper Spacers 
  • 2 off Hub Bearing Spacers 
  • 2 off Stub Axle Bearing Spacers 
  • 2 off Hub Seal Adaptor 
  • 2 off Caliper Mounting Brackets 
  • Parts required by customer: 
  • 2 off Ford ventilated disc rotors, seals & grease caps. 
  • New wheel Bearings to suit.
  • Remove original brakes and clean stub axle. Heat inner axle bearing spacer and push completely onto axle be sure to have a correct sized piece of tube to push it on completely as you only get one chance before shrinking occurs. 
  • Remove all bearings and shells from ford disc and fit spacer ring in disc before fitting new shell. 
  • Pack all bearings with high temp bearing grease. Fit supplied seal adaptor to hub. Bolt on caliper mount and steering arms. Bolt on disc to correct tension. Fit caliper to brake with spacer between bracket and caliper, swap left hand PBR bracket, right hand PBR caliper and vice-versa Use a Ford or GM booster and master cylinder. Sleeve rear wheel cylinders or fit matching size as car from which master cylinder has come from or run 13/16 rear cylinder, a Ford or GM master cylinder and a VH 40 booster plumed into front system only.
