• FORD DISC & HQCAL TO TRANSIT FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
  • FOR THE INSTALLATION OF FORD VENTILATED DISCS TO 1969-86 FORD TRANSIT. 
  • Kit Contains: 
  • 1 off Bolt Kit 
  • 4 off Caliper spacers 
  • 2 off Bearing Spacer 
  • 2 off Caliper brackets 
  • 2 off Seal Adaptors 
  • Items required before starting the conversion: 
  • CRS fitting kit. 
  • 1 pair Ford Ventilated rotors (XB), hubs, seals and grease caps 
  • 1 pair HQ-WB Holden calipers (PBR or Girlock) 
  • Remove original Transit brakes and clean stub axles. Using a fire brick place bearing spacer seal adaptor with large open end down, heat with oxy torch but not to red hot. Fit to stub and hold. A shrink fit will occur. Fit caliper brackets to rear of stub axle with part stamped “T” at the top. Using 1-3/4” x 7/16” bolts and nuts with spacers between caliper bracket and stub axle, bolt to original drum brake backing plate holes. Remove original Ford Transit wheel bearings (cone and shell) from hub. Clean and repack. Fit bearings and cones into Ford discs. (Use late model ventilated Ford seals.) Fit disc to stub axle using original Ford Transit tag washer and nut with ford grease cap. Fit HQ-WB Holden calipers and connect lines. NOTE: One piece rotor and hub type disc brakes, machining is required – see diagram.
